A spun pipe plant is one of the factories comprised of a concrete batching plant, pipe mold spinning section, and IBS plant section. All three-in-one areas combined in a single plant that produces various types of reinforced concrete pipes only. Generally, it manufactures precast concrete through the batching process, fabricates wire cages through a welding-resistant cage welding machine, and creates compacted reinforced concrete pipes by combining a homogenous mixture of concrete and wire cage inside a spinning pipe mold under high speed of rotation to induce centrifugal forces.
This centrifugal force forces uncured concrete compacts against the inner wall of the spinning pipe mold, and so that this will produce high inherent strength and rigidity of concrete pipes which can convey the fluid efficiently, withstand the fluid pressure exerted against the pipe wall, withstand the dead weight of the earth, and the live loads above the ground as well. All these performance requirements are generally based on the purpose of the pipeline. Joints of every concrete pipe play an imperative role in allowing the assembly of the continuous line of pipe with proper water tightness and soil-tightness properties. With such properties, reinforced concrete pipes can accommodate shearing movement and deflection. This plant has a 1 m3 capacity of automation rotary bucket system to distribute concrete from the batching plant to the respective casting area. Spun pipe feeder machine distributes concrete to the mold and acts as a temporary storage hopper to receive a suitable volume of concrete from the automation rotary bucket. Numerous lifting devices at the demolding section can lift a single piece of reinforced concrete pipe or a mold (or both together) for up to 12 tons. Other than that, this plant also includes a wire cage machine, compressive and hydrostatic load testing system. All specifications of machinery in the spun pipe plant are listed below.
